taking your skin back to a simpler time.
68th & Monroe® was born out of a passion for healthier living and a practical need to keep my family’s skin hydrated during Atlanta’s unpredictable winter months. When our favorite store-bought lotions failed to keep our skin moisturized, I was inspired to create something better. My journey began with a deep dive into skincare, fueled by a commitment to using only the cleanest, most nourishing ingredients. As someone with sensitive skin, I became passionate about formulating products that were not only effective but also safe and free from harsh chemicals.
What’s in a Name?
The name 68th & Monroe® holds a special meaning. It represents two significant milestones in my life: my birth year, 1968, and my first grandchild, Nova Monroe. Our logo features a cross-street symbol, reflecting direction, purpose, and a sense of destination—three elements that became crucial when I found myself at a personal crossroads. After a fulfilling career in business, I suddenly faced unemployment, underemployment, and a lack of professional fulfillment. I was an experienced entrepreneur who suddenly needed to redefine my path and find a new purpose.
During this challenging time, I began experimenting with natural ingredients in search of a solution for my family’s skincare needs. After countless trials, I developed our signature 68th & Monroe Body Butter®, a product that quickly replaced all our household lotions. What started as a solution for my family turned into a mission as friends and family spread the word, creating unexpected demand. This sparked a new purpose: to create an entire line of all-natural personal care products that keep your skin healthy, radiant, and feeling its best.
Our Commitment to Clean Beauty
At 68th & Monroe®, we are dedicated to formulating products with organic and natural ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Our entire line is free from harmful chemicals, preservatives, parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. We believe in transparency, so you can trust that every product we offer is crafted with your well-being in mind. Our promise is simple: to provide clean, effective, and luxurious skincare that you can feel good about using.
